Partners in marriage as well as business, Mariah Wren and Mark Cooper combined their artistic vision and real world production skills to start Wren & Cooper.
Wren & Cooper believes that excellent craftsmanship is essential to making exquisite furniture. They use mortice and tenon joints, one of the oldest and most durable ways of joining wood, in every piece of furniture. They don't have an assembly line. A craftsman makes each piece, from rough board to finished product, by hand. This method of production is more rewarding for the maker, and ensures that each item is expertly crafted, through every step of the building process.
Every piece is built to customer order from their catalog of work; choose your type of wood, choose your stain, use their upholstery or send your own. They finish every piece of furniture with their specially developed oil and varnish mixture, which is rubbed out to a beautiful, irresistibly touchable satin or gloss sheen.
At Wren & Cooper they have two major green goals: Produce as little waste as possible, and make products that look great and will stand the test of time. They use responsibly harvested hardwoods from local lumberyards and they save all the scraps. Nothing gets thrown away. As to the second goal, they believe that a good design never goes out of style. Wren & Cooper furniture is simple and elegant enough to compliment both modern and contemporary styles. They strive to create timeless pieces that their customers will cherish, enjoy, and pass on to younger generations.
